Story |
Frank Frost worked as a weaver for the first year or so after TKWM opened in 1890.
Frank L Frost was born on 5 December 1857 in Maine to Charles E and Mary A Frost. As a young adult of 22, he worked as a schoolteacher. Around 1885, Frank got the urge to move west, first landing in California where he married Emma J. Howland 26 October 1887. Then they traveled to Salem where he took up work at the woolen mill. After a short time at TKWM he worked as a warehouseman in Salem, but returned to woolen weaving in Portland by 1900.
Frank eventually moved to Ritzville, Washington and, for the rest of his working life, managed grain warehouses there. He died in 1933 leaving his wife Emma. |
