Story  Anna Wolff worked at TKWM in the finishing department from 1899 – 1901. Her father John, sisters Emma and Retha, and husband William Sheridan also worked for TKWM.  

Anna Marie Wolff was born 21 Sep 1879 in Salem, OR to John and Mary [Neibert] Wolff. She was the eldest of six children. Her father John worked for the Thomas Kay Woolen Mill. She followed him there in 1899 and worked until December 1901.  

She married fellow millworker William Phil Sheridan in March 1902. They took up residence at 448 S 16th St. In Salem. The couple had seven children. They were active members of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Salem. About 1920 they moved to the Rickey district of Salem and took ownership of the White Fir Dairy and farmed. Then sold this business and established the Hazel Dell dairy in 1930. William’s poor health forced their partial retirement from the business in 1941. On 17 Aug 1951 William suffered a stroke while driving home from Salem. He was taken to the hospital and died the same day. Mary died 18 May 1952. Both were buried in the Catholic Cemetery in Salem.
