This pattern book page was recently rediscovered at the Santiam Historical Society Museum in Stayton. It is part of a collection of fourteen double sided pages that include samples of crocheted borders and motifs. Before printed pattern books were widely available many women created their own books of patterns to help preserve and remember favorite stitches.
