Recently we received a large donation of photocopies of death records for the Marion County region to include in our biography files. These records ranging from death certificates to “Transportation of Corpse ” certificates were compiled and donated by Addie Rickey in her years of cemetery research. They include a plethora of interesting information and will slowly be incorporated into our biography files, which are searchable by surname. These records date from the late 1880s through the 1910s.

The record above includes information for Hector Brault, who died in Mount Angel of a gun shot wound on February 22, 1908. His body was transported by train on the Southern Pacific Line for burial in Portland two days later.
