Volunteer Sue Masse brought this link to our attention today. Connie Lenzen has abstracted and published on the web the census done by former Methodist Missionary Elijah P. White in 1842. You can view it here. It includes names of the head of household, number of adults (male and female) living in the household, and agriculture holdings (numbers of acres in cultivation, number of horses, sheep, hogs, etc.). The list includes information from settlers Waiilatpu (Mission Station near Walla Walla) to French Prairie (North of present day Salem).
