Emma Marguerite Wolff was born Dec 1886 in Salem, OR to John and Mary [Neibert] Wolff. She was one of six children born to the couple. Her father John worked or the Thomas Kay Woolen Mill as well as her older sister Anna. She joined them in their work and was followed by younger sister Retha. She worked for the mill from approximately 1907-1910.
She married Jesse Martin Atterbury 31 Jul 1910 in Portland, OR. They were the parents of one child. The couple moved to Portland after their marriage and lived at 311 Dekum Ave. Husband Jesse Atterbury worked as a lineman for Pacific Telephone & Telegraph. He died in May 1949.
Emma died 22 May 1955 in Portland, OR. The couple is interned at Portland Memorial Mausoleum according to the death notices printed in the Oregonian newspaper. |
