We have a been processing a large donation of materials from the Clear Lake area (an unincorporated area of Marion County north of Keizer), that includes photos from what is now the Keizer Clear Lake United Methodist Church (UMC) and Clear Lake School. We had the church historian come through and look through the photos, only to discover that a series of these photos (2011.034.0092-0100) do not appear to be from the church now known as Keizer Clear Lake UMC. One of the unidentified photos has a sign that reads: “Evangelical United Brethren Church.” Anybody recognize this building, or have any ideas of whom to ask?
You might try tracking down someone from an EUB church. There was one in Dayton, but it’s changed names/ denominations.
Dayton Christian Church
520 Church Street
Dayton, OR 97114
(503) 864-3529
(The address on the national historic places register for the EUB Church was listed differently as 302 5th street, but on google maps it’s the same corner as this one)
The EUB Church officially merged with the Methodist church in 1968, becoming the United methodist church, so wherever it is it could be a Methodist church now.

idk if any of that is helpful but I got on a google tangent when I saw this post…..
Great leads, thank you! We did contact the main archives of the United Brethren Church back in Indiana and they suggested we try the Methodist Church route as well. We’ll keep searching!
After a good lead from a commenter, we rescanned the image and played with levels a bit in Photoshop. Here is the blow up of the sign looks like it might read “Jefferson.” What do you think? Updated photo has been added to the post above.
