The January 2012 edition of the Brooks Historical Society Newsletter featured their Pioneer Family of the Year for 2012: The Isham Family.  James Jefferson and Clarissa Wynn Isham came to Oregon by crossing the Plains to make a home in Champoeg, Marion County.  There is a recognition event being planned by the Brooks Historical Society on June 16, 2012.  Contact the society for more information: 503-393-2053.
