Before there was I-5 and even widespread automobile travel, if you wanted to get to the next town in the Willamette Valley, you took the Oregon Electric Railway. The interurban rail system’s Willamette Division stretched from Eugene to Portland with many stops and connections in between. This timetable (WHC Collections 0083.043.0013.001) dated June 17, 1918 provides a unique look into traveling on the OE. The advertisement for the War Savings Stamps, a reminder of the biggest story on everybody’s mind.
