Ritha Wolff worked as a weaver and spooler at TKWM from 1905 – 1910 along with father John and sisters Anna and Emma.
Ritha Wolff was born 24 May 1889 in Salem, OR to John and Mary [Neibert] Wolff. One of six children born to the couple. Her father John and sisters Anna and Emma worked for the Thomas Kay Woolen Mill. She joined them there in 1905. Ritha married Ned L. Gamble 26 Nov 1908 in Salem, OR. They were members of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Hey were the parents of one child. Ned worked for Hansen & Liljequist as a machinist and millworker. Tragically he died 16 Jan 1950 from a heart attack while attempting to shovel out his snow-bound automobile. Ritha died 19 Feb 1976 in a nursing home in Albany, OR. Both Ned and Ritha are buried in Belcrest Memorial Park. |
