Story  Ruth Follrich worked at TKWM around 1920 then again for about 14 years starting in 1930.  

Ruth Young was born on 29 Oct 1898 in Iowa to Lincoln and Ella (Smith) Young. Lincoln was a day laborer and Ruth had two older brothers Clyde and Robert. In 1900, the family lived in Kalispell, Montana in a boarding house. By 1910, the family moved to Bonner County, Idaho where Ruth’s father left the family.  

By 1920, at age 21, Ruth was living on S 13th St in Salem with her mother and another woman, Dora A Smith who may have been her aunt. Ruth was a weaver at the Thomas Kay Woolen Mill. Brothers Clyde and Robert stayed in Idaho working as timbermen. Robert eventually returned to Iowa and passed away in 1948. In the mid-1930s, Clyde joined his father, Lincoln in Bend, Oregon, raised a family and passed away in 1944, ten years after his father’s death. 

Still in Salem in 1924, Ruth married Albert M Follrich, a divorcee who was eight years her senior. She left employment at TKWM shortly thereafter. However, by 1930 and through WW 2, Ruth again worked as a weaver at TKWM. Albert had a variety of jobs, and the couple moved several times after their house was foreclosed on in 1935. After the war, Albert tried farming near Salem but soon moved back into the city. Ruth worked at Woolworths and the Oregon State Hospital for a time in the early 1950s. The couple had no children. 

During the late 1950s, Ruth and Albert lived in a trailer park on Portland Road in Salem. Albert worked as a farmer, machine operator, and house painter. He passed away in 1963 and after his death, we lose track of Ruth until her death in Sep 1982, at the age of 84. We find no references to her place of rest.
