The Yamhill County Historical Society was the recipient of the 2011 Outstanding Display of the Flag of the United States of America award by the Yamhill County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The award recognized the new Flag Monument was dedicated to the memory of Mr. Ray Kauer and Mrs. Barbara Kauer for their vision and support of the new Yamhill Valley Heritage Center.
